Well, I'll have you know that I've been quite busy. In May, I spent a few days with my friend Mallory and then a few more with my buddy Patrick while Cassie flew back East to NYC and Charleston (SC) to visit family. I always have a great time when Cassie goes out of town because I get to explore new and interesting couches and give people cute looks until they break down and give me many treats. If Cassie asks, I missed her terribly- but in all honesty the week went by pretty quickly and before I knew it she was off the plane and picking me up at Patrick's.
On June 12th Cassie and I were driving to Patrick's (are you sensing a pattern? He tends to come up a lot.) and while we were waiting patiently at a light, just minding our own business, a car ran into us!!!!! (<-- I know that's an exclamation point overload, but I feel as though it's warranted.) We just sort of sat there for a couple minutes, making sure we hasn't lost any limbs or eyes or anything, don't worry I'm still cute as a button- here's proof:
As it turns out, the car behind us was hit by some crazy drunk guy driving a camper that's been gracing the streets with it's presence since before my owner was a glimmer in Grandma Joan's eye. 4 cars were involved but everyone walked away in one piece so we're counting this as a win. Here's the current score, in case you're curious:
Cosmo the Pug: 1
Dumb Drunks Driving Old Campers: 0
On August 12th, Cass and I moved to Ballard. We're about a mile from the locks, a few blocks from Sonic Boom Records (their listening stations tell me what music to like), and mere moments from all kinds of restaurants, coffee shops, neighborhood bars and local merchants. I'll be sure to take my camera with me the next time I'm out and about, so y'all can get a gander at my new stomping grounds.
Lastly, Evan got back from Russia/Turkey/Wherever The Wind Took Him last month. He's living with us in Ballard and it's nice to have him around because he amuses me with tales from his travels while Cassie is at work. Observe:
"I turned my back for 15 seconds, and then my bike was gone! Paris thevies are the worst."
"Have I told you about the Russian kids that called me their King?"
I'm going to let you use your imagination, here.
Well, that's the short version of what's been going on since I last logged on. Hopefully life will get a little more exciting now that we've rejoined the throngs of civilization.
Over and Out.
Cosmo, you are such a good writer! It is so fun to read about what you've been up to. Keep it up!
